CEASAR SALAD WITH SMOKED TUNA WITH LEMON AND OREGANO

Ingredients

  • 2 packs (160g) TRATA smoked tuna with lemon and oregano
  • 1 large lettuce

For the croutons

  • 4 toast bread slices
  • 2 tbs tuna oil

Method

Open the tuna cans and save the oil. Thoroughly wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry with paper towel. Prepare the croutons. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Dice the toast bread, toss with the tuna oil that you have saved, spread out on a baking sheet and roast for about 12 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Prepare the dressing. Place the garlic, anchovy fillets, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise and lemon juice in food processor and process. Count 18 tablespoons tuna oil and pour them in a cup. If needed add olive oil to supplement the tuna oil. Add the oil little by little and process until you have a thick, creamy dressing.

Prepare the salad. Tear the lettuce leaves into large pieces and place them in a bowl. Add the croutons and the dressing and toss gently to coat. Serve placing the tuna on top.

For the dressing

1/2 clove of garlic

4 anchovy fillets

4 drops Worcestershire sauce

30g mayonnaise

6 tbs lemon juice

18 tbs tuna oil

Salt and pepper

Olive oil (if necessary to add)
