Baked beans with tuna piquant

Ingredients

  • 1 pack (2 tins) smoked tuna piquant TRATA
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 pepper, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • 250g tomatoes, grated
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 300g white beans, cooked

For serving

  • Fresh herbs
  • Country bread

Method

Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Open the tins, drain out the tuna oil and save it for the cooking. In a saucepan, add the onion, carrot, pepper, season with salt and pepper, and poor over the tuna oil. Cover with the lid and let cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes or until the vegetables are soft. Add the tomato, tomato paste, beans, mix. Transfer to a baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 20 minutes, add the tuna, stir and serve.
