The Oceans are the biggest ecosystem of the earth. It is those that give life to the planet by producing oxygen, food, and water. Our actions and practices aim in the cleanliness, the maintenance, and the securing of using them in a sustainable way. Along the way we form partnership & create initiatives for their protection.

Sustainable Development & Sustainability

At TRATA, following for years practices that respect people and the environment, we take care of sustainable development and contribute to methods that preserve the sustainability of the natural environment over time. In particular, our company contributed to the national dialogue on Sustainable Development in Greece with a series of programs such as ΣΥΜΜΕΤΕΧΟΥΜΕ, Track and Trace your fish, Responsibility, Respect for the environment, social responsibility and actions for a better quality of life, while through the dialogue with evaluation committees and with a total of 14,380 active citizens, distinguished itself in the ΣΥΜΜΕΤΕΧΟΥΜΕ program.

Sponsorships & Partnerships

Our common vision is the implementation of the basic principles of sustainability, which contribute to the protection of the environment. This is why we are sponsoring the visit of our company's employees to Alonisso for the MOM training program, we are supporting a project aimed at collecting nets from Kavala with recycling and creating a final product, the implementation of an action to clean up hard-to-reach coasts and the action to collect plastic from inaccessible beaches with the help of fishing boats.

  • The ongoing collaboration with ENALEA is focused on our shared vision for a sustainable marine ecosystem. We collect used nets and plastics from areas of Greece which are recycled in order to turn them into beautiful useful products
  • Our continuous collaboration with MOM and our participation in the research program NORTHERN AEGEAN DOLPHIN PROJECT aims to inform and sensitize the public on issues of marine protection and sustainable resource management
  • Our collaboration with ISEA translates into actions open to the public to educate young and old in matters of water ecosystem protection
  • The 'Ribbing for the Arctic' expedition which traveled into uncharted waters to raise public awareness of our planet's climate change was supported by Trata
