Easy Smoked Tuna Pie








  • 2 cans of TRATA smoked tuna
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp marjory, dried
  • 2 tsp parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 egg, hard-boiled
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Freshly ground pepper

For the sauce

  • 50g rocket leaves
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 1 small-sized clove of garlic (optionally)
  • 40ml olive oil
  • ½ tsp apple vinegar
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Salt (optionally)


How to make the pie

Heat the olive oil and sauté the onion, pepper, and garlic. Add the tuna, marjory, tomato paste, 50ml water and ground pepper. Cook for 3-4′ and let the filling aside to cool. Preheat the oven to 175oC. Open up the puff pastry and pour the filling in the middle of it, lengthwise. Add the hard-boiled egg, chopped. Fold the pastry lengthwise around the filling. Beat an egg white, then brush over the pastry, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 40-45′ or until the pastry is risen and dark golden brown.

How to make the sauce

Add all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. Serve the pie and the sauce on the side.
