2 cans of sardines with tomato TRATA
150 gr. feta cheese
1/3 bunch of thyme
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Rinse, remove skin and cut the tomatoes in quarters. Rinse and dice the feta cheese. Chop the thyme and mix the ingredients in a bowl. Add some salt and pepper, olive oil and place in a baking tray. Bake in a preheated over at 160ºC for 30 minutes. Open the can, separate the sardine fillets and remove bones. Pour the sauce in the baking tray, add the fillets and bake for 5 more minutes at 180ºC.
* “saganaki” is a cooking pan with two handles, which is used either to cook in the oven or as a frying pan. ** There is no need to add more onion or garlic as the tomato sauce in the can already contains these ingredients.
